the bit i don't like is he might have to double the initial bid...2 million is a bit much....was stretching it with 1 million.

Schmeical, Grant or Lewis would be our best bets....

          Or there is Heaton...

He is not the best option, that's why.

Because Schmeichael is over rated. He's nowhere near as good as some would believe. Way too small for starters. It's like saying we should sign Charlie Sherringham up front and Nigel Clough as manager. Well...their dads were quality, so it must run in the family, surely?

Exactly that. We call Hill an average defender, Derry an average CM and Mackie an average striker, yet the same fans think Kasper is a quality keeper. He's really, really not that good. Sure, he's not terrible, but certainly no more than average.

                      Paper talk bowlucks!

If we really offered a skint club like Sheffield United a cool million for a keeper that they did without for nine months, they would be driving him to Shepherds Bush tonight.

We might however have started bidding at a lot less......

Sounds like the player himself wants to stay anyway so may aswell look elsewhere. Joe Lewis would be a good bet.

I think Kenny is a decent keeper and worth a punt. But not at more than a million.

                            Schmeichel for me.
                            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
