I think the squad had a real sense of unity under JG.

He brought players that were up for the fight, wasnt pritty football but the likes of Danny Cullip knew there job and came in and did fantastic!

no doubt charlton's team, for instance, was better in virtually every dept than our team then - at least on paper. shows JG brought a lot out of some v average players. also think the championship has got a lot better. just from watching my hunch is the gap between the championship and the lower/ middle end of the premiership has narrowed a tad.
