    QPR being Sold To A Sheikh? /merged thread/

    qpr could become the next english team taken over by a rich sheikh. an arab businessman is in talks to buy 51 % of the club. most of that stake is believed to be owned by former hoops chairman flavio briatore he has quit in feb but retained his shareholding

    it is understood the unnamed bidder approached the west london club last month.

    talks have reached an advanced stage and senior club source said a deal could be announced as early as next week.

          Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

                  didnt flab say the other day he owns 20% so how can he sell 51%? wouldnt that be fraud?

                          Doesn't add up. This Arab would have to be going some to be richer than the Mittals. Also, there was an article someone posted a day or two ago saying Flabio only owns 20% - if that is the case that's all he can sell, unless Mittals are thinking of selling too.

                          Also, so far I like The Mittals, they talk sense and seem committed to a long term role, so I hope this is just paper talk.
