I don't know anything about him but i know hes young, tall, a goal scoring centre back and came from Man Citys youth which is a good youth set-up.

They good elements of a good player.

- QPR are lining up a summer bid for highly-rated Rochdale defender Craig Dawson.
- Rangers coach Mick Jones was in the crowd to scout Dawson against Barnet last weekend.

I love the fact that we could pissibly be linked with this sort or player - mixed with a few seasoned CCC players and maybe the odd premiership...not quite made it but needs a kick start in a division lower down.

Only problem is he was scouted during the game at Barnet, last day of the season. Rochdale, by all accounts, were on the beach, Barnet won comfortably and none of the Dale players performed at all.
We haven't had a scouting system until very recently, probably around the time Dale won promotion, since when they have barely won a game - so unless we have invested in some videos, any decision will be based upon one poor team performance?

It merely reinforces the logic of having a proper scouting system in place and let's hope we see the benfits from here on!

This defender may prove to be a bargain like Darren Pea**** and it is good to see QPR scouting for players in the lower leagues.

I would however, like to point out one thing from the above quote. Barnet did not win that comfortably seeing as the only goal of the game was scored in the 90th minute.

Lower leagues are great for a bargain. Even looking over in Ireland. Look at Connor Wickham...the lad could go for as much as £7m from Ipswich now.

And young seamus coleman, scouted from sligo rovers, who looks a real gem. A wealth of talent in the eircom league who could easily make the transition

But that would mean getting off ther backsides to go and look at players as opposed to using Football Manager and Wikipedia etc.

If ever there was a one sided 1 nil victory this was it. Rochdale didn't have a single shot on goal whereas Barnet spurned chance after chance, which apparently is why they are down the bottom of the table - and struggle in front of goal without their veteran 40+ year old legend.

Still, I was only there so what would I know
