These are the 23 who should make the final squad I reckon

Joe Hart, David James, Robert Green

          Defenders
Leighton Baines, Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Glen Johnson, Ledley King, John Terry

          Midfielders
Gareth Barry (Parker), Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Adam Johnson, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Theo Walcott

          Forwards
Darren Bent, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney

in my opinion, fabio will cut:

bent, parker, huddlestone, dawson, warnock, johnson, and either one of: lennon/swp/walcott

if barry doesnt make it id take parker.. hell id even take parker above carrick
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
            Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

Heskey makes the squad and in fact the starting line up by virtue of being the fulcrum of the team that all other players operate under.

he's never going to score the goals to win us the world cup, but his workrate up front means that the players operating under him (not only Rooney, but Lampard, Gerrard et al) all operate better when Heskey is playing.

Well it wont be Aaron Lennon.
Certain to start games on the right, never mind make the squad.

The first 11 is actually quite easy to predict. Apart from one midfielder, and Rooneys partner.

assuming all fit, i would wager a sizeable sum on the following starting XI against USA

                          James
                          Cole
                          Terry
                          Rio
                          Johnson
                          Gerrard
                          Barry
                          Lampard
                          Walcott
                          Heskey
                          Rooney
