If nothing else these 3 names will lower expectations.talk of a £15 million war chest seems farsical with these names mentioned,and i wonder if infact NW has to work with a tight budget.I know it is very early days so we shouldnt write too much into these very uninspiring names being mentioned but it is a bit worrying all the same.One thing for sure these 3(if true) will not booster ticket sales for next season.Lets hope there is a "quality" player on the horizon for us.

Of those 3 only Clint Hill is a definite, so don't worry.

even with a big war chest there are going to have to be some "filler" players but agree none of these players inspire. certainly need at least one really good signing to get a buz going - doesn't have to be a household name, be just as happy with a hooper or adams.

2 of those 3 are ok......not the major signing but would be good to have in the squad.

I guess Clint Hill is good as cover as I have a feeling that Connolly, Gorkss and Ramage will be our 1st choice in centre backs next season, Hill will be a good squad addition IMO.

but is hill being signed as a centre back or left back primarily? agree he is a good squad player but hope this signals its bye bye time for hall, stewart and borrowdale rather than tosic.

There's been talk on here saying we need 8-9 new players in, so there are going to be some free transfers and cheaper options.There's a lot of players being released from clubs so every player coming in is not going to be a £2mil player.
