Agree with you 'Flying Cow' There are the rules of the jungle as you say. At the FA Cup game a few seasons ago with Chelsea me and my lad sat in the Chelsea family stand, c/o a good mate of mine despite his suppost of them! We didnt take the **** and got respect.

By the way the X block was half full of barcoded northerners on Sunday but most behaved.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

That is untrue I'm afraid. People who take part in violence at football are from all walks of life and intelligence or literacy doesn't come in to it.

I'd also say to those who make the comparison with rugby that the atmosphere at rugby matches is rubbish compared to football.

This is the real world and right or wrong if you are an away fan in the home end and start mouthing off it's pretty obvious what's going to happen, and I'm sure on reflection the Geordie wasn't surprised. We've all found ourselves in the wrong end at some time. You sit down, you keep quiet and all should be ok.

In an ideal world we'd all be able to sit with opposing fans and have a nice bit of banter, but unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world.

Well said. Again I re-iterate that any form of violence goes deeper. It is about ego, pride, anger, identity and more than 90% of cases are alcohol or drug fuelled, which is just the symptom.

couple of seasons back there was trouble in the SA stand against Sheff. Utd., bruv copped one, club said there be an enquiry, bottom line the club are only interested in money not the safety of their fans, home stands for home fans or there will always be trouble
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross

I think we need to leave this issue alone now as this looks like going full circle.

Having read the name of this hero geordie that started the trouble on other forums, and done some searching, it appearrs this bloke is somehow "connected" to persons at qpr.

If all is as it seems, i feel very sorry for this qpr fan who may get banned from watching his team because of qpr's connections with our barcode friends.

              couldn't make it up

he is obviously the victim and should easily get self defence...he was surrounded by fans from another club in THE WRONG END, THEY INTIMIDATED HIM and he defended himself from attack using the STEVEN GERRARD method, HIT 1ST THREE TIMES IN DEFENCE
also used by the spurs thug at wembley v leics when in wrong end yrs back..both got a not guilty. and the spurs bloke was huge and punching women and kids, in defence thru fear....

Maybe when the 6.57 or the Service Crew come next season and sit in the SAR we could throw prawn sandwiches at them and blow raspberries.

The 6.57 Crew is a football hooligan firm linked to the English Premier League team, Portsmouth F.C. The name, 6.57 Crew is taken from the time that the Portsmouth to London Waterloo train left Portsmouth and Southsea station. The firm were one of the most active firms in the 1980s and caused chaos wherever they went.
