Anyone who questions Sven'e record as a club manager is an ***** quite frankly. Regardless of what he did with England (The worst being qualify and reach the quarter finals of each competition he entered in... hmmm, yeah crap compared to others) he has been successful with many clubs in many nations, no mean feat.
Just look at Man City he instantly took them from previous season relegation challenged fodder who only scored 8 goals at home or something ludicrous under Pearce, to being in the top 4 until about Feb last season, and playing some great football by the way with the likes of Petrov and Elano buzzing. It was only after that and with issues behind the scenes it started to fall apart, and then he knew he'd lose his job, much against most city fans wishes... What happened next, they got Hughes a supposedly good british manager and he's been woeful, with major money spent on the likes of Robinho.
I don;t for a second think we'd get Sven, but if we did, you can bet it would be with the promise of cash to spend and i am sure he would do a good job so wouldn't be disappointed at all.
Big Phil on the other hand has nothing to shout about at club management (brazilian league doesn't count here), and as for winning the world cup, well anyone could have been in charge of that Brazil side and had a shout, i mean FFS, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Cafu and Carlos when all good, plus a young Kaka if i recall.... they were everyone's favourites for a reason. He also managed to lose a Euro final on home turf with Portugal against Greece!!Leave a comment:

Guest repliedSven is not even worth my time talking about anymore.....not good enough at all...How do you KNOW he would be useless in CCC? No one does!
Sven, boring man - yes, boring football - maybe, but that does not matter if the team wins and achieves something. Again no one knows.
Anyway, hypothetical as dont see either becoming our new manager - unfortunately.
most people have stated they want a proven manager at this level.....well big phil is not a CCC manager by any means......the game he likes to play is with more time on the ball....the only way he knows how to play......that is why i say he wouldn't be any good......all about opinions mate.Leave a comment:

Guest repliedstill wouldn't have excited me a couple of years back.......big names don't excite me as far as managers go.Well, both have had their successes....
Must admit my preference, prob like yours, is for a young up and coming manager. But I also think we should just pinch ourselves occasionally. OK, so the takeover has had its big set backs but just think back a couple of years and someone had said "Phil Scolari has been linked to the manager's seat at QPR". Well, even my dear friend Dexter wd not have dared make such a suggestion for fear of being called mad.
Has to be a man that can motivate the players and stand up to flav.....big phil is not that man...he wilted and died at chelsea with the pressure from the ruski

If we were after Roy Hodson before this season we'd have kicked up a fuss. Look at what he achieved for Fulham this year. Getting the right manager is a lottery. No-one knows how they'll do until after a few games. TBH I don't care who it is, just get us promoted.Leave a comment:

Guest repliedso do you rate big phil or sven then just out of curiosity....take away the big name syndrome...do you actually rate them as managers......When we have all swallowed very deeply and accepted that we are rangers through and through even though they we have just appointed denis wise or re-signed Luigi di Canio as manager, I will try my very hardest to join in a rendition of "Phil Scholari - who the **** are you". But TBH I'm not sure I cd keep a straight face..Leave a comment:

Guest repliedsorry mate...i didn't realise the price hike was to bring in a good manager...i thought it was for the false promise of a better playing squad.....I think what your post proves if that while the board have made some howlers, they just can't win. Bring in some nobody with bags of potential and half the fan base turns round and says "so you charge us £600 a year and all you can give us is Barry Neverheardofhim" yet if they bring in one of the most legendary managers in world football its "what does he know about hoofball in the championship? Bring back Iain Dowie..." I'm not his greatest fan, but no wonder Flav grows exasperated sometimes...
and who said bring back dowie...god forbid....
also i never mentioned hoofball......the players he is used to working with get time on the ball.....no chance of that in this league.
he is that good that he manage to stop chelsea playing football

poke up? you sure?i said i wouldn't bother next season.....
as for being picky......so what he has won the world cup.....championship football is a different kettle of fish.......the 2 "big names" mentioned would be like fish out of water in this league.
not going to get behind another manager i don't think is good for the club.....had to poke up with dowie...why should i again.Leave a comment:
