I think I'll wait to decide and see what role he is given first.

I would not be remotely happy. But supportive. Albeit very reluctant.

How many training sessions will he turn up for?

Why - because he wouldn't fancy a pint with you after a game?

                  :what:

Based on seeing him as a pundit of late, he seems clearly out of touch. He hasnt dont anything of note for over a decade

I dont think Venables would be in it for the right reasons,we want a hungry manager with a point to prove someone with ambitions.not just coming on board because the media work has dried up or the fact hes abit bored in semi retirement.

Nah, only took a nose diving Palace to a secure position in Div 1, got a nose diving Middlesborough team that was near enough relegated to 14th, was given a Leeds team he wasn't allowed to keep any of the players. Oh and Englands assistant manager.

What does it take to show up on your radar Scott?

Left Portsmouth in very dodgy circumstances, left palace in very dodgy circumstances. At borough was assistant to the waste of space that is Robson. At Leeds he had a decent team, yeah a couple of players got flogged as they were in financial crisis but he still got fired.

Oh and as for England yes, the wonder duo of Venables and Mclaren was a fantastic time wasn't it?

He has a very chequered last ten years with no real success only controversy. Seems to me he goes somewhere for a year, picks up a load of wonger then either quits or gets fired!

Hmmm, thinking about it, perfect for us then!

If true quite a shrewd move considering it would be likely to help ST sales, profile of club to media etc..

A little concerned he's 'yesterday's man', but he's get my full backing..

That said, there is absolutely no evidence its him yet other than the usual hot air.

Oh right - so you knew he has worked for the last decade then, but that didn't fit in with the point you wanted to make.
He hasn't been solely in charge for any of those periods, and has been at clubs like Palace and Leeds that were already in turmoil.
You can give it the shady character ******** all you like, but we all know your friendly with who could be described as a 'shady' character, so it's a pot, kettle and black scenario.
Seems that you seem a tad jealous info hasn't come from one of your 'sauces'.

Fair point on the shady bit, and well, all of our owners have all had shady pasts at times shall we say.

But, it doesnt stop the fact that his record of late shows, go to club, stay for a year, leave in dodgy circumstances, get bumper pay off.

And no jealousy from me! Trust me, after the Sousa situation and this website I sincerely don't want to know anything anymore! And when I do, I'm keeping schtum about it!!
