he says he doesnt want are reserves playing all over the shop and playing more "local" games

hopefully this is the reason his teams have stayed fit and all ways in contention of a spot in the 1st team

Its a brilliant move , if he can organise friendlies Vs the likes of Arsenal or Chelsea our youth set up and reserves will benefit no end, he's just come from a club that has a very good youth academy and i honestly hope he can persuade the owners to reinstate our own academy so all our youth levels can play the top academy sides.

there will be reserve games eyr but just not at

eastbourne, dagenham, aldershot

Spurs disbanded their reserve team a few years ago,said it was a waste of time. they are not doing to badly without one.

They don't play many games now either, and most of them are of a poor standard against lower league sides and even non-league.

I'd much rather a reserve team friendlies fixture list that looked something like this:

August: Arsenal, Reading, Fulham,
Sept: Chelsea, Portsmouth, Millwall
Oct: Palace, Watford, West Ham
Nov: Southampton, Ipswich, Spurs
Dec: Norwich, Reading, Fulham
Jan: Chelsea, Portsmouth, West Ham
Feb: Palace, Arsenal, Watford
March: Southampton, Ipswich, Spurs

Not all Prem sides, but not a lot of travelling needed, and most if not all, have good set ups.
