    Happy birthday Dave Sexton OBE

    Turned 80 yesterday.

    Our greatest ever manager IMHO.

Now THAT would be an interview.

He had a nice foundation to build on, thanks to Stock and Jago... but make no mistake - Dave Sexton produced the finest football team in the history of this club, and it had as much style as Arsenal have now.
It was a proud time to be a Rangers fan, and that 70's team is the best side in the history of English football not to win the title.

It was an honour to support them.

      Happy birthday Mr Sexton.

Neil what pub are we meeting in?
I need to meet Pete and Ha9
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Yup - the man is a proper Rangers legend/icon. Many happy returns. It'd be nice to see him at Rangers some time. Is he well does anyone know?

Possibly doesn't get the credit he deserves. What he did here was nothing short of miraculous when you think about it. And - yes - there had been good ground work done but it was the additions (e.g. Don Masson for God's sake! who'd have put him in the mix) that sparked that season's performance. And the stint he had at Man U pretty much showed it wasn't a fluke. He had a real eye for how a player would fit into a team. I wonder what period he looks back on most fondly. The idea of an interview with him is a tremendous one. I haven't heard a peep from him for donkeys.

If you managed to pull it off it would be a remarkable feat; would bring much kudos too. He very rarely spoke to the media even during his heyday.

And the two Stanleys are demanding it now so it has to happen
