GP may be a polite man, good to animals and his grandparents.

However, he obviously knows sod all about scouting and is getting paid very well for something he simply isn't good at.

We are where we are mainly due to his crap signings.

The original poster is confusing the person who held the purse strings for these players, to the managers who wanted the players and the DOF who arranged the deals for them

you don;t get season long loans for tarrabt and Simpson for example if you are given a player budget to go out and spend a few million. You would replace someone like Routledge with the 1.5-2 million you got to re-invest, instead you get what you are given. We got Priskin, Ikeme, Bent and Hill because they were practically peanuts.

Didn't see the money for the Blackstock sale even go back in or the sale of Delaney..did you? unless, I missed something

Do agree Ageymang contract was too long and Lighterwood has been below par, but Warnock is still making him captain and I'd assume its his decision to do so.

Not a defence, just relying the facts

Stolen admittedly but very interesting summary to my mind:

I just don't understand what Paladini actually does that makes him indispensible. We're currently fighting it out with two teams in or near administration (one with a ten-point deduction) in a very poor league despite having had four years when we've had money (whether this was spent on wages or transfer fees is immaterial). As an example, the team in administration have one of the best keepers in the league playing for them on Saturday, whilst we have somebody who was replaced for the last couple of months by Wolves's fifth choice. That's sheer incompetence.

I think we'll survive because there are three teams even worse than us but it's a bit of a joke that we are even in this position, and Paladini is culpable to some extent. If you're a crap baker, you get fired even if you love the bakery.

GP is the club's link from the past to the present and probably still has uses.

                      As I have said

                      Blackstock 1.5 million???

                      Delaney 1 million ??

                      Routledge say 1.75 million?

That 4 million did not get ploughed back into the transfer kitty.

Gianni is an easy target, off course some of the loans have turned out poor, but clubs don't loan their best players and it defelcted all the attention away from The flav.

he is some people's Malcolm, rehman, Santos, Priskins rolled into one, they come and go, but he still remains. He will get flack until he retires and leaves the club, very few will change their views

we may not have spent £4m in transfer fees, however our wage bill i am sure is sky high - thanks to GP.

GP is an easy target because he should be held accountable for some of what has gone on over the past few years.

gianni is an easy target in your eyes, but
