Don't you think if we could have got Leon Best or Jermaine Beckford if we had a bigger budget for players? We didn't have one, its that simple
I think what people are having trouble with is that the fees and wages we wasted on Hall, Agyemang, Pellicori, Alberti, Watson, Reid, Helguson, Hill, Ikeme, Bent, Priskin, Quashie etc etc, not to mention paying out managers contracts to not manage us.. might have been better spent on Best or Beckford.

        exactly
What money Flavio did release for players, whether fees, wahes or agents money was totally wasted on the players above....

Back on the thread, my immediate thought on hearing this was that Hart's appointment is somehow linked into the compensation deal with Palace for Warnock.

My theory is that we have to pay Hart's wages until the end of the season unless he takes another job. Palace need someone to replace Warnock. We pay them the contractual compensation for Warnock (£1m I have read) plus we let them have Hart but still pay his wages.

I may, of course, be talking complete b******s!
18th August 2011. The day we got our Rangers back

Or you could be onto something but then again he did walk away from us which means we owe Hart nothing.
