What a positive display by our boys, but what a s**te performance by some of our fans. Why travel all that way just to moan and #### em off from the kick-off? Had to move after 5 mins the people behind us just wanted to moan at everyone from the word go, plus one of em thought she was John Motson! The guys behind the goal gave their all as always but even most of them didn't come back up for the second half. After 60mins the place was like a morgue.
There was a great feeling of optimism amoungst those of us in Dr Browns before kick-off, watching Chelsea loose just added to the feeling it was gonna be our day.
But then we had forgotten Harford was in charge! Why bring on Borrowdale and Bent and then take off our only decent play maker Faurlin? IMO Taarabt should have been up front with Simpson. It was obvious after 2 mins that German was out of his depth. With Harfords tactics, subsitutions etc we are down. Thank goodness Dowie (or Warnock) will be in place tomorrow.
IMO the team performance overall was much better and I spoke with most of them after the game and they all believe we'll survive. Jay and Ikeme were class, chatted for ages.
Come on get behind the boys and we'll survive, just!!
