  • Ben Watsons thoughts on Warnock/QPR...

ALBION new-boy Ben Watson expects to see ex-boss Neil Warnock in the Loftus Road dugout next weekend, after insisting that he’s the man to sort out QPR.......

    Watson Interview...
    (2 pages)

    See you next week, Ben.

    I just know he'll score!

Having come through the Palace ranks under a succession of managers, it was Warnock that helped Watson produce the performances that paved the way for his move to a Premier League club.

Watson continued: “Trevor Francis gave me my debut, then Iain Dowie came in and that was when I played some good football.

“But I probably played my best under Warnock.

“When he came in to Palace, my career was at a standstill and he gave me that injection of energy and it all went from there.”....
“Hopefully now I’m here at the Hawthorns I can play some games and put myself in the shop window.”

    .................................................. ..................

Actually, reading that.. I can see Young Benjamin possibly starting next season as a QPR player, under Warnock.

I am glad all these ex players keep coming out saying what a great manager and person he is to play under. I also hope it ticks some of the boxes that you have been worried about.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Would Warnock try and get Watson back at Rangers.Never played his best for us,but still think he's a good player and could Warnock get him back to his best ?

                It helps.

I'm sure that ex-players of Coppell or Curbishley would have very good things to say about those too... but the idea of Warnock is not the worst thing, and it's a case of getting right behind the bloke from Day One.

We simply have to..... and although he wasn't my No1 choice - he was never bottom of my wish-list either.

That is a good Warnock type midfield.

Think it might upset some of the Buzz, Faurlin and Cookie fans though.

I think Warnock will like Cook and I think the side has to many serious positions for him to vocus on

gotta say , i'd welcome back watson for another try , in his proper box to box role under a manager that clearly knows how to get the best outta him . He is a quality ccc players imo, just didnt enjoy the whole circus package we provided the first time.
