  • Would it ever work at LR?

As highlighted by inter-milan last night, continuously cheer our own side's touches, and continuously whistle/boo theirs.

The atmosphere at foreign grounds is unreal, I swear I heard a few bombs go off last night? what are those big bangs that happen? happened at Milan v United as well. The germans were good v barca tuesday they have 1 guy leading them on a megaphone then the others follow.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

how come pete can't do a drumbeat like that? although there was a fleeting glimpse of something like that on saturday for just a few seconds which made me think it wasn't real.

Imagine if we could reproduce that every week home and away.

A thousand or so diehards giving it the max....would be quality and would definately encourage fans to come back.

Difference to foreign grounds to ours nowadays is that the police is so on top over here and wont let fans have an atmosphere they just want to nick people to hit their targets especially as its world cup year

atmosphere at foreign grounds is far better than in england in many case - for a number of reasons.

                            - Less hassly stewarding/policing wrt to banners, flags, flares, standing, singing etc
                            - Less miserable gits in the crowd who frown if you are boistrous
                            - Germany have massive crowds and have terraces and it's less than a quarter of the price to get in. Beer and food are reasonable prices.
                            - some nationalities are happy to show their passion and not going to get laughed at with orchestrated chanting/banners
                            - cheaper to get in!!!!
                            - not so many kick offs at stupid times

Some clubs here get a great atmosphere though not many any more.
