    Liam Morrison

Injuries are piling up. Lamptey is not reliable enough, although a very good defender. Mbengue out for the season. So, our defence is being reduced to the bare bones. Yet, Liam is there, ready and fit. I do not know what are the plans for him, but surely he should be the one to replace Kemper for the last 18 minutes against Derby. The points were already secured and Mbengue was not fully fit as his strapped leg showed. Incredibly, Liam have not played a minute since the start of the season and yet, he is always fit and warming the bench! Even if he is on his way out in January, with most of our players dropping like empty bags, he should play some part. After all, he is being paid to do so! Just common sense!

Its a head scratcher for me.

He hasnt ever stood out as one of our best players, but I never thought he was rubbish either. He seems a 'Steady Eddie' to me. Those who have analysed his play properly might have a different opinion.

Either play him or sell him to an SPL team. Im sure theres a team up there who would want another Scot in their squad.

Many of the managers substitutes don't make sense , at 4-0 why not bring on players that need game time ...

        Two problems for him.

        1. Jimmy Dunne
        2. Ronnie Edwards

Both are really good and rarely injured.

I realise players can often look out of sorts in pre season but I can’t forget the Wimbledon game where we went 3-0 up then Morrison got absolutely roasted for pace out wide for their striker to score their first, then the same player quickly added a second with a header beating a weak challenge from Morrison comfortably in the air.

If I remember correctly Stéphan quickly brought on Akindelini to shore up the CB area before Kone scored a late goal to secure the win.

Morrison’s biggest weakness in his game is a really severe lack of pace , he would quickly be exposed at FB imo. I think it’s fair to say that Kemper also lacks pace for a modern day FB but nowhere near as pedestrian as Morrison
