We need to break the cycle of draws or we'll soon be in mid table. Knowing us, we'll do it by losing...
I fear Burrell is injury prone and we will have to adapt to him missing chunks of the season - I think we have plenty of players who can chip in with goals so I think we should have enough about us to beat the Rams.Comment

There must be a better than even chance that Obikwu gets a run out in this match, I found it strange to listen to Stéphan say on Friday that we had no one with pace to run in behind once Smyth went off as that’s how Obikwu was described when he arrived.
Im still a big fan of Harvey Vale being a goal scoring threat from central midfield areas despite Stéphan keep deploying him out wide and looking out of sorts.

Julien Stephan praised the character of his QPR side after they battled through a series of fitness problems to earn a 1-1 draw at West Ham. QPR boss revealed several players were struggling physically by the closing stages, with Tariq Lamptey suffering an ankle injury and both Kealey Adamson and Jake Clarke-Salter dealing with cramp. “Tariq Lamptey had an ankle injury,” Stephan said. “I know we had 11 players on the pitch but in fact we had only eight or nine in good shape.”Stephan was particularly impressed by Adamson, who managed to see out the game despite being badly affected late on.“Kealey Adamson finished with some cramp, it was very difficult for him to finish, what personality as well,” he added. “How brave he was in the last ten minutes because he was completely destroyed.” Clarke-Salter was also struggling towards the end of the game, but QPR managed to hold on and secure a point. “Jake Clarke-Salter had some cramps as well for 15 minutes at the end of the game,” Stephan said.
I think Abs mentioned that our players seemed to be wrapped in cotton wool and precationary subs used. Does this apply in training too? Why on earth did we have two players going down with cramp in a 90 min game? It wasn't an end-2-end FA Cup semi-Final that went into extra time!! It was a bog standard 90 mins, evening game in cool weather. It seems crazy that 20% of our players that night werent fit enough to last a full game.

Ilias Chair, Koki Saito and Rumarn Burrell are all closing in on returns for QPR, providing Julien Stephan with some welcome positive injury news.
Chair is nearing the end of his rehabilitation after missing the last four games, while Burrell and Saito have both resumed partial training. “He worked very well individually. He’s close to coming back collectively with us,” Stephan said on Chair. “Depending on the last scan he will have at the end of the week and how he restarts collectively with us, we are at the end of the rehab with him. “He worked very well. He’s very positive. Everyone is very positive around him about the rehab, so I think he’s in a good place now to come back quite quickly.”
Burrell is also progressing after returning to partial training. “He restarted some individual sessions, so progressing well,” Stephan said. “So, we have to see now how the situation evolves before thinking about collective sessions.”
Saito is also expected to miss Wednesday night’s Championship clash with Derby County but Stephan is hopeful he will be back soon.
However, Tariq Lamptey is set to miss Wednesday’s clash after picking up an ankle injury against West Ham on Friday.
Stephan has confirmed that Richard Kone is fit enough to start and play a minimum of 45 minutes against Derby County on Wednesday evening. Kone made his long-awaited return from injury after coming off the bench during last Friday’s 1-1 draw away to West Ham at the London Stadium. The 23-year-old, QPR’s top goalscorer last season, originally picked up an injury against Middlesbrough last month and missed three league games against Charlton, West Brom and Preston. He then made his return to action for QPR’s development squad against Bolton’s Under-21s but was substituted after just 30 minutes following a heavy challenge.👍 1Comment

Some of the words used in an article I saw from Hounslow Herald were similar to your reportt. Reading between the lines it appears that Saito looks the closest to returning, the others are said to be not taking part in group training sessions despite a misleading headline of ‘closing in on a return’
Alfie Lloyd was reported to have taken a knock in training that made him miss the West Ham but is it deliberate that both him and Dembele are not mentioned today but could be surprise inclusions against Derby?👍 1Comment

Cheers, but not my report. Its just some copy and paste from various news outlets. I do this rather than post links that some might not want to open.

I hope we can get a few back ASAP. I hope to be eating some humble pie about Kolli & Kone after the Derby game, but my head tells me I'll go hungry.
