That team that battered us 6-0 over the summer are currently 2nd in the Spanish 2nd division. Plenty of teams I've heard of below them so they can't be mugs - maybe that and the snotting we got at Cov should've made us aware we are basically low-level 2nd tier standard?

Tbh I thought the lad on the left wing for them was outstanding can’t remember his name I know it was pre season but they looked well drilled plenty of pace movement had quality in numerous places you’d think a team in the efl would have enough financial pulling power even on our budget to at least enquirer about some of them ?

    good luck to them

Perhaps the drubbing they gave us made them believe that they were actually world beaters. We seem to give a load of other teams that feeling after being beaten by them: look at West Ham now!

Although I like to see us win every game, I don't mind losses in pre-season too much. That is, as long as these friendly games are used positively to sort out deficiencies and get players up to speed so we can hit the season running. I do get the impression that some teams (no names mentioned) just go through this procedure because it is just part of a routine and show no serious intent when the season gets going.
