Will start on weekend of 14th August 2026 the Football League has announced. This will be nearly one month after the WC Final.
Carabao Cup R1 (which will include 22 Championship teams) will be the weekend before on 7th August. I think it's seeded as well as regionalised North and South so I suppose that game is a useful pre-season workout for us to lose to Crawley or someone and concentrate on the league.
Of course all the above would be irrelevant if we go up but probably best to be mindful of those dates when arranging life events. You don't want to be swerving weddings, holidays, house-moves, graduations etc cos we're playing Hull...
