    AFCON - Are we losing any players?

    I'm a bit fuzzy about our squad and what countries they can or do play for... are Chair and Kolli out of favour? What's status of likes of Kone, Mbengue and Poku (or anyone I've missed).

    The tournament starts in a week or so, lasts a month potentially and Sunderland are losing SEVEN players!

    It starts December 21 and squads are announced by Dec 11

    But also Ghana didn't qualify so Poku is safe at least.
    The only others are you missed I can see are the two that haven't played for the first team yet.
    Akindileni and Tylon Smith.

      Cheers. I heard that players have to be released around the 15th-ish if they're selected. Sounds like we should know what's what by next weekend.

          That's annoying, him and Burrell are a great pair up top - not sure we can adequately cover his absence and may revert to the appalling lone striker formation that has ruined the past few seasons.
