  • Now Angry!

I know I posted yesterday ‘shell shocked’ - today, im
    angry!!

Seeing multiple posts on social media from the club re tomorrow’s open training and free name shirt printing has really irritated me!

In my view, the club should cancel this and focus on getting the players ‘right’ mentally and physically for Saturday. There should be a formal apology also and a refund to those that went on Saturday or a voucher to use in the club shop.

It feels like the club is burying its head and pretending Saturday ever happened

Why am I more angry and annoyed today?

Only 5 players came over to the crowd after the humiliation on Saturday

    The manager bottled it

Reports suggest how fed up the players look. Ffs - you’re in a minimum of £7k p/w playing football for a living. Give it a 100 % minimum- there’s no evidence of that at all

We can all ‘smell’ there’s something wrong and we deserve better.

I hope that on Saturday, this post comes back to haunt me and I will apologise but I can’t see it - Nathan Jones will smell blood and I can’t only see another defeat! Then what?

Only people who love QPR will understand how I feel.

I know I should calm down, not overreact, wait for 10 games, transfer window to close but it’s really difficult as the players look like they don’t care!

I wasn't at the game on Sat so can possibly just look passed it as just one of those games. But someone posted something telling about players going down with cramp......the fact players aren't fit enough to be competitive is just shocking.

I thought all this Ben Williams living in Dubai wasn't really an issue because he was there to oversee the fitness guys. The fact he's back at HQ and the same situations are occurring is very telling. When we see training videos we see players jogging around the pitch, half paced sprinting sessions and technical drills. Whatever happened to piggy back sprints and running up hills to strengthen your legs? Surely you go into pre-season to be beasted like you're in basic training in the army? That then carries you through the season!

From the outside looking in, the players are pampered too much and this "fear of getting injured" is a mindset that allows players to down tools as soon as they get the slightest twinge. With the performance guys responsible for fitness and telling JS who can and cannot be considered for team selection, I think we need to look at that whole department.

Even at my basic amatuer standard, if youre not physically fit youre not mentally sharp and when that happens your game gets sloppy because youre not fully alert. That aside, its definately the managers job to motivate the players before getting onto the pitch.

For a small club, we do need to bring in young players and develop them for sale. But we need some experience in the centre of midfield to coordinate the game better. As Ive said many times before, a L1 player with a huge engine to protect the CBs, break up play and move the ball to more creative players shouldn't be a hard find. There must a loads players out there with limited creativity who have got into the professional game due to their ultimate determination with the mindset that "no player is getting passed me". We need some of those hard nut grafters because we're just too soft.

Totally agree with all of the above. I know it was 14 years ago but that Warnock team which included a balance of grit, flair and youth was the perfect formula.

Imagine Clint Hill or Shaun Derry putting up with this nonsense

Surely Nourry, the manager and the owners can see that and get the balance right in the remaining days of the transfer window.

We can all see it, why can’t they?

Totally agree with you that the open training day should have been cancelled and instead get them working hard to rectify all that has been wrong over last two games. The training day reminds me of start of Rocky 3, losing the hunger and a cheap money grab. We need someone to get the “eye of the tiger” back in this club and as soon as possible.

Nah! Cost me a fortune in train fares etc - no chance.

            I’d only embarrass myself too

I think you are giving our senior management too much credit. It isn't like things have only just started to go wrong.

Our new manager is the only one I would be sad to say goodbye to.

Everyone feeling a little more optimistic now after three arrivals and one exit?

I'm not sure we'll sign anymore players, but a few might leave on loan to gain experience. Perhaps, a few might leave permanently if there's money out there?

I think one more signing….. the money is there… I wonder who?
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

An experienced RB so Morgan can contest a central midfield position, or head out on loan. I know we have Mbengue & Dunne for RB, but they're really CBs.

Possibly a back up keeper for Nardi, if we decide to send Walsh out on loan.

Im really not sure what to do with Field. Keep him in the squad and hope he picks up some form?

Might sound daft but if chair went would Madsen do a job further up pitch

family saints fans rate chair but not keen on Edwards at this level

may get one more in but to be fair board played it safe Hayden saito we know what we’re getting we’d all take Ronnie in heartbeat just can’t see it coming with mbengue cook Morrison dunne in place with jcs to return in 2029 either

Ronnie would only be viable if Dunne & Mbengue rotated at RB, with Morgan going out on loan or rotating with Hayden/Field/Varane. I think we can write off JCS and Cook will surely only be used in an emergency.

You can't curtail normal business just cos of a defeat. The Training Day should go ahead, it's school hols and it's aimed mostly at kids and families. A free event to entertain the kids is gold dust to many hard-pressed frazzled parents. Maybe the owners/players could have a whip round and pay for a bit of merch' to hand out to youngsters though... Make the day a bit more memorable for those that going?
