  • Colback and Fox

I’m a bit confused as to why nothing has been said re these 2. Didn’t feature on Saturday, in none of the training clips either. Surely, we should announce that they have left unless of course we are still negotiating with them?

    Any ideas anyone?

Is Julien assessing Richards before making a decision on Colback?

No, I think we'll sign cental midfielder, maybe two if Varanne is sold.

Nourry has history with Richards. My view, he'll be hard to convince.

Do we actually know contract situations of Colback and Fox given how coy club are about revealing details? Maybe there's nothing to say given club wouldn't put out a "they're still here!" announcement?

I would be happy if they both stayed on given the modern game pace means vast majority of starting XI are gassed after 60mins cos I view them as wise heads to bring on in order to see out games. Both are good at marshaling things on field and bawling out any slackness too.... just what you need in the 89th min when refs added 10 more mins on.

These two were signed when we did disclose contract information. We hold a one year option on Colback but nothing on Fox.

Jack Colback, 35, from England ➤ Queens Park Rangers, since 2023 ➤ Defensive Midfield ➤ Market value: €150k ➤ * Oct 24, 1989 in Killingworth, England

            Morgan Fox, 31, from Wales ➤ Queens Park Rangers, since 2023 ➤ Left-Back ➤ Market value: €400k ➤ * Sep 21, 1993 in Chelmsford, England

We nornally announce who has been extended and who has left. I can only guess that we're looking to upgrade with younger players, but may extend them if we cant find better options. Meanwhile, they are free to join other clubs if they get suitable offers.

The player salary website capology also states that they're both on £15k a week. Perhaps Julien wants to look at other squad players to see if they're worth £30k a week. Without Eze money, the funding for Dunne's new contract and recent signings have to get funded elsewhere. Perhaps the budget isn't there to extend them right now?
