My view is the series has some legs whilst each campaign ends with a final or a play-off or best of all a promotion. I think Producers have milked to death any local sob stories and they no longer employ lowly paid local lads as players and show stalwarts like Paul Mullin arent playing at the higher level either, they are losing the "human interest" angle and will be straying into bratty overpaid footballer territory soon so I suspect they have two more series maximum before the show is dropped. Obviously the only way to get round this would be for them to go up to Prem this season or next and render the Disney show redundant in terms of income.
Wrexham make no money directly from the documentary. All proceeds go to Reynolds & McElhenney's private companies.

Of course, the documentary creates worldwide exposure, which brings in new fans and drives their revenue. It's 3 years in though and it's already served it's purpose. They now have a worldwide following who spend money at the club, hence 52% of their revenue coming from overseas. You think when they documentary ends, all those fans will disappear and stop spending? Highly unlikely. It's been viewed by over 700 million people. 5,000 households in America alone have a subscription to watch Wrexham games.

You seem to think this is all just going to disappear, because the documentary will lose it's appeal. Yet, you're completely forgetting the outside investment that is queuing up to invest in Wrexham. The Allyn family have just bought a stake in the club, they have a net worth of over £1 billion. Reynolds has commented that he's had multi billionaires contacting him on a regular basis wanting to invest. They will become a club with very wealthy owners over the next few years.

The fact is, once the documentary loses it's appeal, they'll be in the PL with a raft of very rich owners and a lot of fans worldwide. They won't need the exposure the documentary brings.

It's a fascinating story and you can only applaud how Reynolds and McElhenney have gone about it. Very clever businessmen as well as actors.
