What a fantastic footballer Gavin Peacock was for us. Him and John Spencer were 2 brilliant signings.

Happy Birthday Gavin Peacock
I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!Tags: None -

Scored 22 goals in 48 appearances, wonder what a striker with that goal ratio would cost these days young abs?!I played sunday league football today.

That Naarwich fella who's currently topping the scoring charts was a freebie. Going back to last season, Szmodics cost Blackburn £3m..... it IS possible to find strikers at a sensible cost - just gotta kiss a lot of frogs to find them!Comment

Our lot are beyond prayers now I'm afraid; this is one for the exorcist.
Having said that, in that 1997/98 season we also played some utter garbage football and were very lucky to stay up in the end. That was when our season fizzled out with a gutless home defeat to Bury. The two home games: a 0-1 defeat against Port Vale, and the 1-2 home defeat against ten-man Swindon (goalie sent off if I remember rightly) were almost enough to drive the most Stoic die-hard QPR supporter to suicide if it hadn't been for the 5-0 hammering of Middlesbrough a few days previously.Comment
