What bright spark (s) thought Madsen and Santos were Championship standard?

I happened to be over from Australia when Andre Dozzell played his first couple of matches for us. I thought he was a player who would never be a useful addition at that level. I was shown, sadly, to be essentially right. I feel the same way about Madsen and Santos although I've only seen them on QPR+ and a channel here called Bein.

Sadly have to agree looks like we did scouting by spreadsheet Madsen slow as a 4 yr old santos just no idea what level he’s a pro at Saito physical ability of a 12 yr old think he might be ok in more open less physical games as he does move ball well but don’t get many in this league, then leaves Celar who looks lost not really had game time but all in all the recruitment is just diabolical

Nardi and Dembele fair play decent but I think most fans on here would say we’ve not done very well and tbh I think whoever was in charge would struggle with this squad it’s just not mobile enough

Madsen has made 25 appearances in the Dutch top tier and 74 appearances in the top tier in Belguim. He has scored 2 goals for us so far this season.

I know he's slow but is the problem that he doesn't have a work horse next to him?

I agree with what you say about Madsen and Santos but totally disagree about Saito, he puts himself about, wins 50/50’s he really shouldn’t be and has won more headers last night than Madsen has done all season, he is physically up to the Championship more than Madsen is in general and does genuinely really care, probably more so than most
loan players we have had.

Also, don’t rate Nardi, he was at fault for their second goal last night staying on his line and does not command his area at all. It’s also a crazy tactic by Marti to have everyone in our own penalty area when defending corners only for Nardi to punch it out to the edge of box where opposition players waiting to receive the ball. The way we play generally is like watching the Hasselbaink team.

We actually miss Begovic and Dykes a lot and most of us, including myself, were glad to get shot of them. But what do we know, or Nourry or Marti for that matter.

To be fair Saito done ok when replaced paal at lb he did well which pi££es me off Marti chucking santos their when saito done ok their previous.

Saito has been ok for me, a bit lightweight but definitely has some skills and enthusiasm. Worth letting him develop a bit. Not top of the list for the door

Saito is fast becoming our best player. He is covering so much ground AND in the air !! It just ain't fair that the little guy is doing all that.

Saito did alright against the flying winger , he put more effort into his minutes than Madsen and celar put together.

It's so frustrating that we had a bit of cash and the two we paid transfers fees on were Madsen & Cellar. We really are completely clueless with any decent size budget. Deadwood out and deadwood in.

It's about time Spreadsheet Christian went back to Uni, continued playing Football Manager and let a grown up take over his job.

Marti seems to be distancing himself from player recruitment from my ready of this,

The recruitment has been our problem for at least three/four seasons. It's usually about of five in of which three are so bad they are sold within a short time. So who is our guru is it Director of Performance Ben Williams? Or is it Nourry ? If so we need help!
