Gubbins, Rendall, Drewe and Armstrong if others are brought in. It would be great to see Dozzell out of the door but unlikey due to the number of players needed.

Colback could be exactly what we need, some experience and grit in the middle of the park. If we can add in a central defender would make massive difference. When GA essentially said that was it signing wise over for us (subject to any sales) was looking bleak. We are in brown stuff until we can get two of our main three CBs fit and/or sign someone but at least some hope if we can add Colback and maybe one other while we wait to see if we get any sales done.

Potentially a decent spine of the side at Championship level if we bring in Cook and Colback.

Obviously the need to keep everyone fit this season is imperative as we have very poor squad depth.

I remember being appalled at the arrival of Derry and Hill. A decrepit grey-haired Alice band wearing snail and a Scouse carthorse with a broken knee - WTF were the club thinking! Obviously I soon changed my tune though.....

If we somehow land Colback and Cook it will be most satisfying indeed - hopefully we can get them over the line in time to be in the mix for Saturday.
