Funky that would be Simon Walton and yes he was the closest nearly man.
He was a Plymouth but he has been loaned out to blackpool. I think his aggressive temperment has let him down and his carreer is going backwards. He could of been a good player, shame!

I remember Richardson and always thought he was poor. Maybe it was because he was the understudy to Parkes and there was no comparison.

Saw Richardson on The Big Match replayed against Spurs (1979) at wkd and he looked a lot better than I remember him. Might have been a one-off tho?
