Watching tonight's footy between Owls and Saints and the ref is vigorously applying the time wasting crackdown. No real delays or injuries but 6 mins added time at end of 1st half and a Wednesday player booked for kicking the ball away 2yds after conceding a nothing free kick on the half way line and Southampton not obviously impeded or delayed by his actions.
Fair enough, but.... my impression is that footballers are thick as pig-muck so I expect lots of yellows tomorrow, probably even sending offs for a 2nd yellow too. I expect it will take several weeks before some players cotton-on and stop dicking about time-wasting.
