So excited to see who our next big signing will be , must be holding out for 2 or 3 real prospects, just letting everyone else get their transfers done first , hang on haven’t we been here before, im getting deja vu

Looking at the daily transfer news on BBC website it would appear there is very little going on across EFL. We are not alone, I suspect most clubs are skint, desperately trying to shift deadwood and pick up some freebies.
In this sort of market there is no incentive for a player to move today. Why would someone sign for us right now on a 3-yr deal for £5K a week if there was a chance someone else might offer £7.5K next week/month?
Frankly, the window is too long - should shut before season starts, not end of August.
