  • New Sky Deal 2024/25

A new deal is in place for the season after next and this article suggests its a 50% increase on the last one. For season 21/22 we earned £9,185,000 from broadcasting.

No immediate financial gain for next season but our income for the following season should increase by circa £4.5m - if we're still in the championship.

that is obviously good news, only problem is that it means less games on saturdays at 3pm.

Also assumes the Prem maintain the same solidarity payment as now and/or the solidarity payments continue to be viewed as something separate from the TV money (even though it essentially all comes from Sky's money). As ever, the devil will be in the detail.

Given the Prem is a snidey grasping greedy organisation and the EFL is fundamentally incompetent and inept I would treat this deal with extreme caution and pessimism.

That isnt in the article I posted. In that it says 3pm games will not be shown live to protect those slots.
