  • Lineker dropped from Match of The Day

How ridiculous that certain individuals are not allowed an opinion. We all know where this is heading. They’ve been looking for an excuse to get rid of him for a long time. What a wonderful diverse culture the BBC is. Or not as the case may be. MOTD will turn into Grandstand, bet JJ and Alex Scott will be rubbing their hands.

Matt Le Tisslier wasn't allowed an opinion on covid and lost his role on skysports because of them.

Anyone in support of this immigration bill or actions to combat uncontrolled immigration is instantly labelled right-wing and a racist and cancel culture wades in. But these woke individuals get a free pass.

About time these people get a taste of cancel culture. if Lineker leaves MOTD I might start watching it again. Im sick of hearding his political views. Same goes for Neville.

It these people want to enter politics they should leave football punditry so we can be left alone to only watch football.

The BBC attracts people who think Mrs Browns Boys and Michael McIntyre are funny.

            Nuff said...!

Im going to watch MOTD for the first time in years!

No Likener, Sheerer, Wright or female match commentators scretching at me.

Hopefully the ratings will be higher without that lot and they'll get booted off.

I don't see it as the bbc's opinion, I see it as Lineker's opinion, which he is entitled to.

PS Mrs Brown's Boys is brilliant. In my opinion.

Mr Lineker is trying not to pay £5million in unpaid tax but wants to vertual signal to everyone else what's right and wrong, what he should do is present motd and pay his taxes not much to ask is it. Politics shouldn't be in sport but alas it will always poke it's head in,some way or another

Yes, Ive heard this too and this is smoke and mirrors around IR35

HMRC are saying that hes an employee of the BBC and he's says he's truely freelance through his Ltd Company. To be deemed an employee the firm has to exercise control over the individual. If they can restrict what he can say on twitter hes an employee snd will have to pay £5m back taxed.

Surely Saint Likener isnt using his beloved migrants to get out of pay income tax like the rest of us.

If Lineker isn't allowed to say something about what they believe in, who is exactly?
                        Only politicians?

When Gary Lineker, Marcus Rushford, nurses, train drivers, firemen and teachers are enemies of the state, you've got serious problems.
Need to stop with the whataboutism and tax bills or whatever else, Gary said nothing wrong in this instance and either our focus should be on that, or on the thing he's highlighting.

Who said train driver's nurse's firemen teacher's are enemies of the state what are you going on about, the problem with Lineker is he's supposed to be impartial, it in his contract apparently him saying that the government trying to stop illegal migration has 1930s Germany retorech is terrible language that undermines what Germany done to millions of people in the war, this country has always welcomed refugees from war torn areas around the world, and i for one am proud of that.

We have to control immigration because the numbers coming in legally are sky high.

In 2021 & 2022 the we let in 800k immigrants which in part due to Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Ukraine. To put in in perspective Newcastle has a population of 900k.

We have seen with the Ukraine war that we were not energy independent and if we have to build a city the suze of Newcastle every two years we will soon run out of areas of natural beauty and farming land. You city folk do know that the green fields are for agriculture and not slapping concrete on it right?

With the number of legal immigration we welcine to the UK for Linwker to say we act like the Nazi party is an absolute disgrace. He should be fired on the spot for such abhorrent views!!
