Looking at the state of our defence, I think its an odd one, he's now fit and by all accounts played well for the Germans and with us paying the bulk of his wages and the lad from wolves sitting on the bench, what was master plan here!

Perhaps it was hoped he' be injury free for the remainder of this season and we'd have a better chance to get a fee for him from a European club in the summer? Hes obviously history with us due to his injury record and we arent getting enough games out of him compated to his wages.

Another player who looked great last season, an absolute animal, but has undergone a very swift and unfortunate transformation! I personally would have kept him but yes maybe looking for him to get game time to move him on in the summer. Shame as looked great when fit last season.
