    1 + 1 = 3?

Taken from the Daily Telegraph when Briatore bought the club:
The pair completed their £14 million takeover in November, spending £690,000 to acquire their 69 per cent majority stake in the club. Ecclestone spent £150,000 on his 15 per cent, while Briatore, through his British Virgin Islands registered company, Sarita Capital, bought 54 per cent for £540,000. He has since sold on 20 per cent of his stake to Mittal.

If the Briatore, Ecclestone and Mittal only earns 69% of the club with 31% owned by lots of other shareholders. Then unless Mittal has bought those shareholders out the maths doesn't work.

Mittal can't own 60% unless Briatore and Ecclestone only now own 9%. Completely possible but some are suggesting that Briatore and Ecclestone have 20% each which would mean Mittal owns less than a 3rd of the club (29%). Where have these figures come from because I doubt highly that they have contacted all of the other shareholders (potentially hundreds of them) and bought those shares.

I've said this all along. GP owns a major stake still. There are also the public shares plus Gerry Francis I am led to believe still owns a large amount of shares too.

I'm pretty sure that these three between them now own just about every share in the club. The 69% figure is probably what they bought originally, then they went about buying up the remaining shares including most of the ones held by supporters for a nominal fee. I may be wrong, but that's what I thought.
Don't you just love Gianni "I've never done nothing wrong for this club" Paladini..
