With the legal status of Charlton's in dispute could that mean our transfer of Bonne could be “unpicked”

  • #2
Absolutely! I'd be very surprised if he ever played for us again. His goals for us will now be null and void of course so we will lose points gained from games at Derby and Wednesday. Because it is "us", EFL will almost certainly deduct 50pts from us for our blatant asset stripping of a stricken fellow club.
Aside from all that, there's little to worry about.

It was a serious question, if they're saying the sale of the club Charlton wasn’t Legal then he wasn’t their player to sell is the issue.

New owners and directors would have passed the fot and proper test and they approved the takeover. Transfer of Bonne would also have been approved by FA. Seems in internal matter at Charlton. Same happened at Swindon many years ago when a money was deemed a loan by one party and share purchase by another. These things get sorted out in court most of the time.
