    Would the VAT be 5% at the moment or the more usual 20%? Either way HM Government will get their mitts on a chunk of the gate money too.

    Not really any extra money, the 1000 will be made up of season ticket holders who have already paid, will make a tiny amount as they will not have to refund season ticket holders who attends, however stewards and policing will spend all that.

    Thing is, I doubt if the admission money of 1000 fans would actually cover the cost of opening the stadium and stewarding/operating it in a covid-secure manner. Don't see why a club would volunteer to lose money, particularly given any meaningful opening up of stadia seems months away at least.
