£41M for a defender is an absolute joke regardless of who it is.

Sometimes I get the feeling I'm only person on here who values defending and clean sheets. A decent defence is the first requirement of any successful team so decent defenders will rightly come with a premium price tag. £41m is crazy money for ANY player of course but a team like city need £40m players in every position, including the bench.
