Fair enough, but what is the truth then?

I have read that Bill Power was waiting in the wings, but did he really have the financial clout or consortium to buy the club, pay off the ABC loan and other debts, as well as fund the neccesary transfers i.e. Leigertwood, Vine Buzsaky, Mahon, Connolly, Ephraim, and pay-offs to the likes of Cullip, Bignot, Bolder, Nygaard, Moore, Bailey?

If not, then he might have saved the club from Administration, buy would possibly not have saved QPR from relegation.

Was it just me or did anyone else look at the title of this thread and think 'WTF is Pete talking about FLAVIO's t.its for?'

Saying that we would have been in Admin if FB had not came in, is the same as that fat, failed next president of the USA, Al Gore saying the world will end soon if we don't all pay more taxes to prevent it. Its a lie and he was found in a court of law for telling nine untruths in brainwashing film, 'an Inconvenient Truth'

            Nodge70

            Its absoultely spot on

We would gone into administration earlier if we had not sold Lee cook to Fulham.

This is not spin, maybe you should ask someone like Bill Power if you don't believe me

No - it's not true. I was/am very very close to an investor in the "third" consortium.

Flavio and Bill weren't the only show in town. Bill stepped back as FB has considerably more international clout. Even if Bill's consortium had taken it on, administration wasn't on the immediate horizon. Perhaps longer term certainly, but again, by no means a certaintly that some would have you believe.

Bill Powers consortium was going to pay off the 10 mill abc debt, and keep the club going until they could find a buyer, Flavio is a liar he did not save the club.

Also BPs consortium was made up of wealthy QPR fans who were willing to save the club.

Just think there is little middle ground with Flavio.

The things he did well - largely Sponsorship attraction - he did spectacularly well.

The things he did badly - and to list them all would make my keyboard explode - he did spectacularly badly.

Glad he arrived. Glad he's now going.

Bill The Power has done wonders for this club, but to suggest they had 10 million is a little way off the mark, in fact I suspect it would have required more to buy the club.

Hopefully when Bill recovers from his operation he can let us know the ins and outs. Would also add we were in such a bad way, we even took another loan from ABC prior to the takeover

Pete, Bill laid out what his consortium plans were on indyrs, they wanted to pay off what was crippling the club, but did not have financies to keep the club going for much more than a year, they would have used that year to find the club a buyer.
