Bit of a fluke. I still think he's a really poor player
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Bit harsh I think. He is what he is. Yes he has his limitations, but a fairly good back up to Ball/Amos for where we are right now

Yeah he really fluked that into the top corner from that angle didn’t he . Whether you rate him as a player or not you could still appreciate a cracking goal.

The emergence of Ball this season must have taken everyone by surprise including Scowen. Always give his all even if it is a bit too much sometimes.

Bit harsh mate. That was an outrageous goal and a real 10/10 hit

Fernando Torres in his prime sometimes scored goals like that
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

He's no Conor Washington, for sure, but decent squad player at this level.

Great goal. Also agree that he's a good squad player at this level, I think some of the criticism is a bit harsh.

Great goal but still not a first team player

Yeah but nowadays it's about so much more than 11 players.... you need 2 decent players for every position. It's definitely a squad game and over the course of a grinding 9-month season there will be injuries, suspensions, loss of form and fatigue to contend with. The idea of a "1st XI" is just dated and pointless - there is definitely room for Josh in our squad and he can make a significant contribution over the season without necessarily being the first name down on the teamsheet.
