We played very good football this time last year. Nobody remembers that because of the awful Spring.

Look I’m a fan of MW and what’s he’s doing and trying to do but McClaren basically had to rebuild the defence. You speak of major assets but you don’t mention Smithies, Onouha, Robinson, Hall was injured at this point last year. It was mightily impressive the clean sheets we were keeping at this stage. It’s interesting to note about stars not being renewed contract-wise in the new year. Lynch, Bidwell, Cousins and Pav, their form fell away and maybe Freeman and Furlong knew they were up for sale in effect. It couldn’t have been easy for McClaren to maintain that form up until the Leeds fa cup win in such an atmosphere. Interesting to see Warburton has renewed Rangel Cameron and Wells and even signed a McClaren target In Hugill before we got Hemed, yet apparently he was getting it so wrong. He did try to play a positive brand but quickly realised it didn’t suit the players. He wasn’t allowed to bring 14 in like MW due to an Embargo

Can't see where our next win is coming from, next 4or 5 games are tough ones, with our defence at the moment, can't see us keeping a clean sheet.
