At the 1m 17s mark, whilst the players are celebrating our 1st goal, it looks like a bottle is thrown on the pitch in their direction.

If Hugill ran on to the initial ball he would've been offside. But he didn't. Manning was onside so OK to get the ball and cross to Hugill who was then onside in the second phase of the attack and that's fine.

No chance. Hugill was not interfering.

How can he not be interfering if he went on to score?

Ok - this is news to me, cheers.
When did this rule come in?

1994 I think. Watch highlights of the World cup that year when rule change caught teams out, specifically Brazil against Holland I think it was. Simply being in an offside position no longer mattered if ball went to another player. Romario stayed about 30 yards offside, Holland defence pushed up to leave him there (as you used to do), ball then played to a wide man who then ran forward and squared for Romario to tap in when then onside.

Amazed more teams don't use it, but generally defences more savvy and hence play a lot deeper these days, which in turn stretches the play in general leading to more open football and a better game to watch.

I think Manning played the ball square if not back a little Hugill ran onto it.
