the accounts can tell us what the total book valuation of the sold/moved on players were and how much profit (or loss) we made on all the sales.Originally posted by cross it Dave View PostMaybe In the company accounts a year or two later?
so for the last set of accounts (where we sold josh bowler, ben gladwin, and yeni ngbakoto):
- original cost of players that left £20.006m
- share of that cost that had been charged to the accounts already (£14.592m)
- player value written off (£2.413m - probably the remaining values of caulker, el khayati, borysiuk and karl henry)
- loss on player sales (£0.137m)
so if my maths are correct, fees recorded should be £2.864m - this probably does not include any add-ons that may be acheived later (bowler's transfer probably had loads of these for example). the accounts also say that we only had £64k in unpaid transfer fees due to us at the end of the 17-18 season, so presumably we got more or less all the cash upfront (so no payments in installments). (for comparison purposes, we still had £4.9m to be paid to us at the end of the previous season)
