Mittal - Does this sound like people that are pulling out ?

World's most popular game football ready for makeover in India - Taken from Indian Economic Times, from just a few days ago.

    7 Feb 2010

There’s also help at hand from overseas. British first division FC, Queens Park Rangers (QPR), in which LN Mittal owns a stake, is planning to open football academies in India over the next few years and is currently working on a strategy.

Says Ishan Saksena, CEO and MD of QPR: “Football is a sunrise sport in India. From a business standpoint, it’s the most opportune time to be here. For our academies, we are looking for the right partner and the right location. Our intent is to do it in a big way.”

I think the Cavalry are coming - Lets hope they intend doing us in a big way and I don't mean winding us up!!

    Come on URz.

i see no relevance at all. Acadamies in India have nothing to do with QPR. The Mittals can drop QPR and run another club if they want. They are in it for money long term and other motives, not a love for QPR.

If the Mittals take over and pump cash in - I will be as happy as anyone, but am certain it woun't happen.

arguably after the prem lge we are the 1st divison,. no need to get pedantic...

if the mittals want "in" one statement, one leaked "source" and all's well within the fanbase.

Ishan Saksena, CEO and MD of QPR was brought in by Amit only a couple of months ago, so indicates a long -term interest.

I'll take their money, but i will not let them rename my club, especially if it is gonna be something along those lines.

I posted about the Chamber of Commerce meeting to take place at Loftus Road with our new MD as the speaker. Talking about the LONG TERM aims for QPR, but the post has disappeared !!

Definitely read to me that they are here for the long haul and to make us Global- Meetings on 24th Feb I think.

Where'd the post go and WHY was it removed - UM ??
