    Routledge on free in Jan

Long-serving Swansea City wingers Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge are free to leave the club in January, says manager Graham Potter https://t.co/IWu30GYH3z

Worth a punt giving our situation to bolster squad or can we not sign anyone???

Doesn't get in ahead of Pawel and Freeman meaning he'd be blocking the path of any youngsters getting game time. Great for us 10 years ago, but he's getting on now (playing in a position that is more demanding than the success we've had with old defenders)

You know we cannot sign anyone unless someone leaves and I cannot believe, however washed up, that Routledge would except 75% of the wage of the departing player.

Not for me , young Samuel has warmed the bench all season , I’d rather he was given a go rather than signing routledge.

Would rather see Pavel, Freeman, BOS, Shodipo or Wheeler (recalled) before Routledge

                Yes please, squad player
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Bo's doesn't have Wayne's end product. The age thing is a slight issue but would he improve us? definitely! I don't feel we could afford a % of the large salary he is currently on but I'd love him back. Great attitude and would pair up nicely with rangel
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I kind of agree but this is something that comes with experience. I would rather see BOS given a chance to play and develop than get another player in and consign BOS to the U23's. Especially in a season like this where we are looking like finishing mid-table.

If he comes in, someone has to leave, and Routs would have to agree to less wages than the player who left. Which means, even if it did happen, which it won't, we would have to get rid of a key player.
I'd rather we just keep hold of everyone, maybe recall a couple of loans, and leave signings until the summer. Keep the squad together.

And Routledge doesn't have the end product he had all those years ago. Personally think we've already got the only decent player Swansea are going to release.

Peehaps, because Swansea would need to pay up a proportion of the remaining six months of his contract first. But if they paud him 50% we would still have to find £15k a week and that would mean us shifting two £10k pw players first. Doesnt seem worth all the hassle as he still might not get a game with us
