Yep, he was bloody awful... Just remembered he cost 500k which shows Wilkins got every single penny of the Ferdinand money.

We have always had to sell our best players, we are a selling club - sorry for breaking this to you in such a manner - but the reason why we didn't get relegated most times after selling a star was because we had a great scouting system and didn't buy crocked players in their 30s with bad knees from the Scottish league.

We are a small club compared to the majority of stable and established top flight teams and the players we sold weren't going to stay with us on the off chance we might break our Quarter Final hoodoo and make a Semi Final .. Even Sinton leaving for Sheffield Wednesday was for European football.

You do know the most expensive player in your list was £1 mill and that was Zelic?
Don't you dare try and tell me the others were a mill each too
    Where do we begin...

We sold Seaman and stayed up.

We sold Sinton and stayed up.

We sold Parker and stayed up.

We sold Peacock and stayed up.

The only time we sold a key player and got relegated was when we sold Les and replaced him with a crocked Mark Hateley.

As for the rest of your post.

    Zelic cost £1.6m

    Osborne cost £1.1m

    Hateley cost £1.5m

    Goodridge cost £250k.

    Charles cost £80k

We also had to give Hayes £600k because of a sell on clause.

So, where is Thompson to blame?

Wilkins was entirely to blame for our relegation.

    We bought:

    Simon Osborne

    Ned Zelic

    Mark Hatley

    Gregory Goodridge

    Lee Charles

As for lining his own pockets, absolute tosh and made up by people without a clue.

When we sold a player half was used to buy players, a significant amount for ground improvements and the rest to make sure we were financially stable.

There are some harsh realities coming to a number of other sides in this division, and they will need to make similar adjustments themselves.

I'll also be clear that I'm by no means a Fernandes fan. But there is no denying that he's stood by the club, and put his hand in his pocket every time he's needed to. And for that reason alone, he's earned the right to still be here and to have the support of the fans.....in my opinion!
You keep posting exactly what I'm thinking Tarbie.

Me too. Especially as a lot of it seems to be based entirely on paper talk and speculation.
