    Cardiff/Southend/Pompey Thread

I just read a post saying Cardiff and Southend have 28 days to pay up and Pompey are insolvent. But it has now gone?

Probably binned to the wastelands of this site, because it's not seen as relevant to QPR?

I'd say it is. We're not in that state yet (if ever), but these clubs are a warning to all.

Portmouth have 7 days to show they can pay the Inland Revenue, or they are toast.

          Just on SSN.

Well almost, adjourned for 7 days - allowing them to produce evidence of a genuine take over providing liquid funds - which, if they can pull that rabbit out of the hat, will buy them further time to actually produce the money.
If they are wound up the HMRC get nothing and with such a huge debt, they are, for once being lenient.

Yes they have 11.5 mil to find, but apparantly they have two Interested parties and they have to prove they can pay.

I'll explain why this MIGHT (doubtful, but possible?) affect QPR.

If Pompey are wound up, they would obviously not be relegated to the Championship, they would have to reform, like Aldershot did.

That would mean that there would be a spare slot in this league, that Portsmouth would have occupied next season.

So there is a possibilty that the solution would be only 2 would be relegated from The Premier League, The Championship, and every league below, to make up the 92 numbers.

It's complicated(!), and hypothetical.... but given our current position, not entirely "Non QPR Related".
