    Dean Parrett

    PARRETT JOINS GILLINGHAM (Sky Sports.)

Gillingham have made Dean Parrett their second signing of the day following his move from AFC Wimbledon.

Parrett, whose career began at Spurs, has rejected new terms at the Dons to move to the Priestfield Stadium, where he has penned a two-year deal.

Is he the same player that we had so many high hopes for him, however, left us for Spurs when he was just 15 years? There are some exceptions, like Sterling, that do manage to make it to the top. Others end up getting worse and get to the ordinary. Hope it will serve a lesson to some of our promising kids.

A real shame he left too early, I’d rather be playing first team then be sat on the bench at Tottenham under 23’s
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

i think footballers are wisening up to moving to bigger clubs at a young age. theres been too many parrett's and bostocks for younged players not to learn from it. nowadays younger players are sticking it out at their 1st clubs and developing in a familiar more stable environment before moving on

Didn't spurs buy a house for his parents, which was the deal clincher? Either way, the move ruined his playing career but I bet he's done alright financially.

Was touted as future Ingerland captain etc. Youngsters would be far better off staying at smaller clubs and getting proper experience but can understand why they get their heads turned. Is modern game, all about the money.

That would be Parrot not Parrett.
Hope Eze and the other Bushby Babes are taking notice though.

Would be nice. Was talking about the kids progress though, or lack of.
