Best defender we have, if you need to look at our problems at the back you should look at the others.Back four has been chopped and changed all season,how many different pairings have had at centre-half. Different full-backs all the time,dodgy goalkeeping.I think thats where our problems lie not with Gorkss

Not many.

I know he's bulletproof on here, but Jay Simpson has taken a dip in form too. Was poor on saturday, and his legs seem to be getting bandier by the week.

By the end of the season his #### will be scraping along the floor, with his knees in his ears.

Agree pete. He is a good championship player but not great. He is probably the best partner we have for connolly.

Gorkks has constantly been our best defender and many times our best player. On Saturday he tried too hard, at the end he was up like a forward trying to get us back in it. I wish some of our other players showed as much commitment.

Pretty ordinary and is often out of position but still the best of a very bad bunch. Also seems like he does try which I don't get from Stewart or Borrowdale.

Seriously.... Stewart? When the whole team is under performing and getting beat, its very easy for the centre halfs to look worse than anyone else. But Gorkss has been FAR from our weakest performers.

Agree with a lot of posts previous to mine that although Gorkss hasn't been great, he has been one of the better players. Bearing in mind team confidence is low, he's playing for yet another manager, umpteen defensive partners and one of two keepers who look like they can't catch a cold.

Player of the year up to now is now a Newcastle Player !! other than that i'd say Simpson, without him scoring we would be right in the POO
