  • Msg for Pete.

Not being funny what happened to Burnley striker thought it was all done and just not signed on in time for game, you mentioned 3 coming in now looks like nothing and less you know more, its all very depressing you must feel like that as well as i guess you must feel a little bit silly when you tell us all done deal etc when they are not, not have a dig at you but a lot of hoped that players coming in would help lift some gloom.

The Burnley player was Steven Thompson who actually played th last 20 mins against Chelsea yesterday so I reckon it's a dead duck!

The players coming were not world beaters !!

One will come in, maybe two.

We are cutting costs, will do so even more in future. Thats the way it is.

not happy, but thats the way it is

Down to just one now on Thurs/Fri/Sat etc. etc.

Hilarious - just like the club at the moment. A good fit.

Pete - from what you have heard, why are we cutting costs, and what is the revised plan of Flavio et al? I understand that being in this division we are not really gonna make a profit, but I cannot see the logic of not kicking on, investing a few million in a couple of quality players who should make the difference (plus a quality manager), and then reaping the rewards of Premier League status and all that goes with it (including the extra cash in the sponsorship deals we have).

Is there something we don't know...?

                Listen, before you keep jumping

we lost 5-0 to Forest on Tuesday

we lost 1-0 to scunthorpe United and then protests

Do you really expect Flavio to sanction players coming in ??

Thats not a defence, but bringing in 3 players now would no difference to the anger towards him, he probably thinks he might as well save some money

                  If crowds had increased

                  if the team had progressed

would have been no cost cutting

Problem is the cost per month is hoorendous compared to incomings

                    I can understand that.

Unless they are thinking to start again? For example just write this season off, then come the summer has a clear out and start again fresh.... sometimes that can be the best way

Pete I totally agree and understand that, the issue though is that it is in large part the board's fault we have not progressed, with the huge instability at the club from changing managers (mostly due to not paying the extra to appoint the right one in the first place).

Surely the thing to do would be to keep it steady this season, then actually go for it properly for next season, bringing in a manager with a five year contract and an established one at that (eg. Curbs) who can build the club with knowledge and experience, things that our board don't really have in football to be honest.

I am not saying splashing out stupid money, but building properly... proper youth academy, proper scouting system, players on good wages but not outrageous ones... a plan. That would appease fans, make actual sense and also increase the chances of genuine success. Plus, earn back some of their investment...

It makes no sense to cut back totally now and for next season, unless he is jumping ship.

ermm how do you increase crowds?? make the team progress??? you cant just magic good players into the squad you have to buy them !!!!
They buy good players first then we increase. simples surely they should know that as supposed good businessmen

If they want to start again, it would be excellent PR to come out and admit mistakes, and set forth the plan (a realistic one this time) for the next 5 years. And be honest about it.

Exactly right, however Flabbio doesnt appear to "do" good PR......

                              Or honesty for that matter.
