Of the many players Rangers have signed with their millions, Buzsaky is the only one with genuine top-drawer ability who could play at a higher level and would be impossible to replace.

Buzsaky, a much better player in my view, can simply slot in to replace Routledge on the right flank.
For some time Ive believed the best thing Rangers could do would be to put the chequebook away and stop making signing after signing in an attempt to somehow get it right.

They should put the Routledge cash away, and not throw money at the likes of Dave Kitson to try and clinch a signing to pacify fans unhappy at Routledge's exit.

They should ride out the storm until the end of another season in which supporters were duped into believing promotion was a realstic possibility.

Install a proper manager with a sound backroom and scouting team in the summer.

Only then should that chequebook reappear.

Good post but i disagree with putting the chequebook away,we need strengthening in other areas, not necessarily to replace Routledge because I think we have sufficient cover in that part of the field.

If the £2m from the Routledge sale was spent on getting Alan Curbishley, (or Coppell) and not on scattergun loan signings, then I would put Lil' Wayne on my shoulders, and carry him up the A1 to Geordieland myself.

I usually agree with and like Dave's reads but to suggest Buzsaky is a straight replacement for Routledge is complete nonsense!

I agree Buzsaky, when playing well, is a better player than Routledge but they are so different. Routledge has pace,Buzsaky doesn't. Buzz is a better finisher, Routs will win you more pens and free kicks due to the way and pace he carries the ball.

Selling Routledge is only good business if we replace him with someone better and we know prem loans or has beens will not be so its bad business to me

When they're both 100%.. I'd say Buz is a more effective player than Routledge. Different type, but more effective.
I'd say the same for Cook over Routledge as it goes.

But... Both need to get 100% fit and find their form before we can see the full benefit of them.

How many other posters on here can't smell the coffee? If buzacky is on the only "real premiership" quality we have he wouldn't be here now!! He isn't ! Defensively a complete liability which you can live with if you deliver at the other end which he hasn't all season! it's horses for courses in the CCC and just the fact that Buz is overweight and not up to fitness this season speaks volumes!! We have haemorraged goals down his side this season when he's played wide and it was no coincidence when we were playing well under Magilton Routledge would everyday have been chosen ahead of Buzz! Enough said I'm dogged off enough him being sold!!
